The woman behind Classic Edge.

My journey into the beauty industry began somewhat unexpectedly in 2011. During a haircut, my hairstylist mentioned wanting to add a nail technician to her salon. That simple conversation sparked my curiosity, and before I knew it, I was enrolling in nail school.

At the time, I was working in outside sales and managing a winery tasting room in Maryland. My flexible schedule allowed me to attend nail school each morning, and after completing my training, I began working at my hairstylist’s salon.

Within a few months, I realized I had a different vision for the business I wanted to create.

Then came a conversation with my grandmother that would change everything.

One afternoon, while having coffee on my birthday in May 2012, we were talking about my future when she said, “Chris, why don’t you just open your own salon? You have a completely unfinished basement. You could build anything you want!”

And that’s exactly what happened.

My mom and I started spray-painting lines on my basement floor to map out the space. When my dad came over, he looked at our markings and asked, “What are we building?”

We told him we were building a nail salon — and starting that weekend!

My mom, dad, grandfather and I spent the summer transforming that unfinished basement into the very first Classic Edge Nail Studio.

On November 12, 2012, I officially opened my doors in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania.

For the first three years, I worked part-time at Classic Edge while also working at a fine-dining restaurant.

Eventually, my clientele grew enough that I was able to dedicate myself to the studio full-time.

As a single mom, one of the greatest rewards of becoming self-employed was the independence and flexibility it gave me.

My daughter was an active athlete throughout high school, and having control of my schedule meant I never had to miss a ballgame.

That freedom became just as important to me as the business itself.

From the beginning, continuing education has been at the heart of my career.

My first professional trade show introduced me to techniques that completely changed the way I approached nail preparation, nail health and long-lasting results.

That experience sparked a passion for learning that has stayed with me ever since.

Over the years, I continued advancing my education and eventually developed a specialty in professional foot care, earning my Certified Master Pedicurist designation in 2020.

For me, education has never been about collecting certifications. It’s about continually improving the experience and level of care I can provide every client.

After years of building Classic Edge in Pennsylvania, I was ready for another adventure.

I had always dreamed of experiencing life beyond my small hometown, and in 2021 I began exploring Florida.

Initially, I was considering a yoga teacher training immersion as a way to expand my interests in wellness and personal growth.

What started as an extended winter visit eventually brought me to Naples — a city I had never visited before.

I began working as the lead nail technician at a newly opened men’s grooming salon, but it didn’t take long for me to realize something important:

I wasn’t ready to walk away from the business I had built or the years of education and experience behind it.

So I took another chance on myself and reopened Classic Edge in a private Naples studio.

In 2025, another opportunity for growth brought me back to Pennsylvania to support my daughter, Justice, at Sisterhood Holistic Day Spa.

It also gave me the opportunity to reconnect with many of my longtime Pennsylvania clients while continuing to travel back to Naples to maintain my Florida clientele.

Working alongside my daughter introduced me to another side of holistic wellness.

Experiencing facials myself made me realize how much tension we carry in our face — and how meaningful it can be to simply slow down, relax and allow someone to care for you.

That experience opened another door.

Inspired by what I experienced at Sisterhood Holistic Day Spa, I returned to school and became a licensed esthetician in June 2026.

Today, Classic Edge is expanding to include relaxing botanical skincare alongside the professional nail and foot care that built the foundation of my business.

It feels like a natural evolution — combining beauty, wellness, education and intentional self-care in one private, personal environment.

And while Classic Edge continues to grow, the philosophy behind it remains the same: thoughtful care, professional expertise and services designed around the individual sitting in my chair.

I’m a free spirit, a forever student and someone who has always valued independence, authenticity and the freedom to create a life that genuinely feels like mine.

My career hasn’t followed a perfectly straight path.

It has been built through unexpected opportunities, family encouragement, education, reinvention and more than a few leaps of faith.

But one thing has remained constant: “I’ll bet on myself every single time.”

And somewhere along the way, I realized that Classic Edge wasn’t simply the name of my business.

It became a reflection of who I am — and a way of life.
